Xiaomi Launches Redmi K50i 5G

Xiaomi has launched the Redmi K50i 5G, which is the company’s latest top-end phone in the Redmi series.

The Redmi K50i 5G features a display of 6.6-inch FHD+ (2460×1080 pixels) LCD screen, HDR10, display with 144 Hz refresh rate, DC dimming, Dolby Vision, 650 nits peak brightness, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, splash resistant IP53. Powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek Dimensity 8100 5nm (4×2.85GHz Cortex-A78 + 4×2.0GHz Cortex-A55) with Mali-G610 MC6-core GPU processor. Dimension of 163.6×74.3×8.9mm, weight 200g.

The Redmi K50i 5G has 6GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage or 8GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Its operating system is based on Android 12 with MIUI 13. For security, it has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The phone offers a triple rear camera. 64-megapixel main camera (wide angle) with 0.8μm pixel size LED flash, panorama, HDR, supports PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus), f/1.9 aperture, 8-megapixel ultra-wide secondary camera, f/2.2 aperture, and 2-megapixel macro camera, f/2.4 aperture. It supports 4k video at 30 frames-per-second (fps), and the device is fitted with 16-megapixel front-facing wide-angle camera with f/2.5 aperture.

Housed by 5080mAh battery cells with support for 67W fast charging, charges 50% in 16 min and 100% in 46 min (advertised)

The Redmi K50i 5G comes in Phantom Blue, Stealth Black, and Quick Silver. The 6GB of RAM and 128GB is priced at $325 while the 8GB of RAM and 128GB go for $362.
