Xiaomi Launches Redmi K50G

Xiaomi has launched the Redmi K50G, which is the company’s latest top-end gaming phone in the K series in China.

The Redmi K50G features a display of a 6.67-inch FHD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED 20:9 HDR10 + 10-bit display, MEMC, 120Hz refresh rate, 1920Hz High-Frequency PWM Dimming, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. Dimension of 162.5 x 76.7 x 8.5mm; Weight: 210g.

The Redmi K50G has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage or 12GB RAM and 128GB/ 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Its operating system is MIUI 13 based on Android 12. For security, the device has an in-display fingerprint sensor, infrared sensor.

The phone offers a 64-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX686 sensor, f/1.65 aperture, LED flash, 8MP 119° ultra-wide-angle lens, 2-megapixel tele-macro camera, the device is fitted with 20-megapixel front-facing camera with Sony IMX596.

It is powered by Qualcomm’s latest flagship of Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 4nm Mobile Platform with Adreno next-gen GPU with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM.

Housed by a 4700mAh battery capacity with support for 120W fast charging that can charge up to 100% in 17 minutes. There was a demo on stage that showed the phone took 37 minutes to reach a full charge while being actively used to play a MOBA game.

Redmi says the Redmi K50G is the world’s first device equipped with CyberEngine X-axis motor 1016, currently a leader in size amongst Android X-axis motors,

The baseline K50 gaming with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB UFS 3.1 storage comes in Black, Blue, Gray, and AMG colors and cost CNY 3,299 ($520). There’s a 12/128 GB version for CNY 3,599($567) and a 12/256GB CNY 3,899 ($615). The limited-edition Mercedes AMG F1 model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage will retail for CNY 4,199($662).
