Xiaomi Launches Redmi K40S

Xiaomi has launched the Redmi K40S, which is a successor to last year’s Redmi K40 and it comes with impressive specifications.

The Redmi K40S features a display of a 6.67-inch FHD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED 20:9 HDR10 + display, MEMC, 120Hz refresh rate, 1300 nits (peak), Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Dimension of 163.2 x 75.95 x 7.7mm; Weight: 195g.

The Redmi K40S has 6GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage or 8GB/12GB RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Its operating system is MIUI 13 based on Android 12. For security, the device has a Side-mounted fingerprint sensor, infrared sensor.

The phone offers a triple rear camera. 48-megapixel main camera (wide angle) with Sony IMX582 sensor, Dual-LED flash, panorama, HDR, supports PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus), OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), f/1.8 aperture, 8-megapixel 119° ultra-wide camera, and 2-megapixel macro camera, f/2.4 aperture. It supports 4K video recording at 30 frames-per-second (fps), the device is fitted with 20-megapixel front-facing camera with 0.8μm pixel size.

It is powered by Octa-Core (1 x 3.2GHz + 3 x 2.42GHz + 4 x 1.8GHz Hexa) Snapdragon 870 7nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 650 GPU processor.

Housed by a 4500mAh battery capacity with support for 67W fast charging that can charge up to 100% in 38 minutes.

The Redmi K40S comes in Black, Silver, Iridescent, and Green. The phone is selling at $283 for 6GB+128GB, the 8GB + 128GB costs $314, and the 8GB + 128GB costs $377.
