The Federal Government has further extended the deadline for the NIN-SIM linkage to the 26th of July, 2021.
The Honourable Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr. Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, FNCS, FBCS, FIIM, said the postponement of the deadline was based on the request by stakeholders that needed to consolidate the enrolment and NIN-SIM verification process following the increase in the number of enrolment systems across the nation.
It’s noteworthy to say that significant progress has been made in the NIN-SIM verification process. With the total now at over 57 million Nigerians have enrolled for the NIN, with an average of three to four SIMs per NIN.
Citizens and legal residents were urged to make use of the opportunity to complete the process of enrolment and verification.
The Minister on behalf of the Nigerian Government has thanked Nigerians for their patience and compliance with the Federal Government’s directive on the NIN-SIM registration exercise.
