The smartphone industry is abuzz with excitement as Oppo unveils its latest flagship device, the Oppo F23 5G. Packed with impressive features and a sleek design, delivering a remarkable user experience like never before.

Design and Display:

The Oppo F23 5G has a 6.72-inch FHD+ display, LCD screen, and 120Hz refresh rate with a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels. It offers a Glow design which brings a gleaming galaxy, a smooth shimmering surface that stands tough to fingerprints, scratches, and wear, and a 3D curved back cover that fits like a glove in one’s hand for a comfortable grip. It has an aspect ratio of 20:9, which provides a cinematic viewing experience. Also, IP68 is dust/water resistant. The phone’s dimension is 165.6×76.1×8.2, weight 192g.

Performance and Storage:

The Oppo F23 5G is powered by a Qualcomm SM6375 Snapdragon 695 5G (6nm) processor with Octa-Core (2×2.2GHz Kryo 660 Gold & 6×1.7GHz Kryo 660 Sliver), Adreno 619 GPU processor which ensures smooth and lag-free gaming. This is coupled with 8GB of RAM which is expandable to 16GB of RAM (additional 8GB) and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage which is expandable to 1TB with microSD.

Camera:

Its camera feature is unique. The phone offers a 64-megapixel AI (wide) camera with f/1.8 aperture, PDAF, LED flash, and panorama. 2-megapixel microscope camera with f/3.3 aperture, 2-megapixel depth camera, 1080p@30fps video recording. The device also features a 32-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.4 aperture, panorama, and HDR that is perfect for taking selfies and video calls.

Battery and Connectivity:

The phone’s battery capacity is a 5000mAh battery. The phone supports 67W wired fast charging, which can charge the phone from 0 to 50% in just 18 minutes (advertised) and comes with an 80W charger in the box. In terms of connectivity, the device supports 5G, Dual 4G VoLTE Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.2, Type-C USB 2.0, USB Type-C, OTG, fingerprint (side-mounted), and proximity sensing.

Software:

The phone runs on ColorOS 13.1 based on Android 13 out of the box. OPPO has promised 4 years of Android updates and 5 years of security updates for the phone, which is a first for the segment. It comes in Cool Black and Bold Gold. The price is around 270 EUR.
